The Sectors of Life

*A baby Eevee opens her eyes, she slowly blinks as some of the light hits her face. She then looks at the face of a Vaporeon.* Mrs. Chrysalis: "Can you hear me? Can you see me? Oh you're going to grow up to be someone amazing, I'm going to be proud of you, you are going to make me proud. I made many mistakes, but I will make sure that you're not one of them. Your name will be Manantial, welcome to the world. I wonder what you will become in the future. I'm sure your father will be proud too!"

*An Eevee walks into a classroom. She takes a look around and she seems somewhat nervous, that's when a Herdier touches her shoulder* Mr. Vali: "So you must be the new one. Well, it's really nice to meet you, I'll be your teacher. You can call me Teacher Vali and who might you be? What's your name?" Manantial: "My name is Mana, and I want to learn many things! Teacher Vali, why are you named like that? What does it mean?" Mr. Vali: "Well, if you want to know the meaning, I think it means a protector, and it comes from a land far away. But for me, it's nothing more than just the name of my family. Anyways, Mana, welcome to my class, you can sit next to Rocher and in some minutes the class will start. If you have any questions, or if anything is wrong, you can let me know, and I'm here to help you."

*An Eevee walks into her bedroom, she hears a loud yelling* Mrs. Chrysalis: WHAT are YOU doing here? What do you want NOW?! ...O-Oh, it's you, Mana, I'm sorry, I just, hm, I have been dealing with things. Your father is complicated, but, ugh, but don't tell him I said that, Mana, you, you love me, right? And I love you, I love you so much. Can I tell you something? Your father is not a good person but you will always have me. You can always count on me and you know that I love you, and even if he doesn't love me, or if he doesn't love us, that doesn't mean that you're not loved, because you have me, don't listen to him." Manantial: "Mam, what's going on? Lately, I just feel scared, you two are always fighting. I want to go back to how things were before, everything is so weird, I don't understand. What can I do?" Mrs. Chrysalis: "Shush, Mana shush, everything will be alright, I'm going to solve this. I, am going to do, something."

*A lot of loud noises can be heard as many things are thrown inside the house, a Vaporeon talks on the phone.* Miss Chrysalis: "YOU CANNOT LEAVE US! You need to come back! I-I made a mistake, I'm aware but I did it to get back at you, for what YOU did! Look, I was dumb and I didn't think it through. B-But we can turn this into something good, we can raise them just like we did Mana. A-And we can be a happy family still. You, you, don't leave me, don't leave u-us. I cannot do this without you. Mana needs you too, I, PLEASE COME BACK!!!" Manantial: "M-Mam? Where-" Miss Chrysalis: "SHUT UP, I'm doing something, I'm dealing with, with so much and, Mana I'm so sorry, he didn't, I, so many things in my head, go to your room, now." Manantial: "B-But pa, what happened to pa?" Miss Chrysalis: "MANA HE ABANDONED US! He, he NEVER loved you, never loved ME!"

*A baby Eevee is being held, he says: "Cookie".* Manantial: Cass?! You just said your first word! I need to write this down! Cass, hey Cass, can you repeat that? Can you say cookie again? Say cookie! OH MAM! You need to, oh, yeah, she, she's not home, I'll tell her when she's here. I wonder what my first word was. Mam doesn't really remember it, but I hope it was as good as yours!" *The baby Eevee moves his paw to try to reach a nearby bag*. Manatial: "Oh Cass, you just wanted a cookie, this is such an important moment for me that I didn't even realize, I'll give you one! ...Can you say Mana next?"

*Two Vaporeons are arguing on the backyard, an Eevee is near, listening to the conversation*. Miss Chrysalis: "For the LAST time, Mana, I do NOT have time for this! I cannot dedicate every single hour of MY life to you and to your brother, I'm busy because I'm always trying to get money so I can keep buying food for this family, for my family, because of course, no one else in this house helps me with that!" Manantial: I'm not even old enough to have a job, even if I wanted to I cannot help you, I couldn't even get into high school because we cannot leave poor Cass alone. He needs someone, and I want to be here for him, but without your help, it's really hard to know what to do during so many situations." Miss Chrysalis: "Don't act like you're a kid. You're old enough to handle this, so you take care of your brother, and I will take care of the rest. So STOP complaining!"

*A Stoutland is resting at the park when a Vaporeon sits down next to him.* Mr. Vali: "Excuse me, that seat is already taken, I am waiting for someone special to arrive. ...Mana? My goodness, Mana, it's you! I could barely recognize you, you look so different, I still remember when you were just a little Eevee. Ah, where did the years go." Manatial: "I came as fast as I could, I wanted to be able to talk to you at least one more time before you left on your trip. Back in those school days, you were someone that helped me out so much, not just on the whole studying aspect but with my life too. I still think back on a lot of the things you told me, the many times you stood up for me and how you gave me hope in a moment where I didn't even realize I needed it, life hasn't gotten easier, just like you said, but I'm applying everything that you taught me on my little brother, little Cass. He's still just a kid but he really does need all the help he can get." Mr. Vali: "I'm glad that even after all these years, I am still able to do a good change in this world, little Cass is in some good hands if he is with you."

*An ambulance can be heard, a Vaporeon rushes to see what's going on. She then listens to some of the things the people near the ambulance are saying.* ?: "It seems that it's been hours by now. I already checked, there's nothing we can do now." Manantial: "W-WHAT HAPPENED?! Where are you taking mam?! Who did this?!" ?: "You must be Mana, the daughter, your brother called us. Mana, I sadly have some terrible news to share with you, your mother, she's-" *Manantial couldn't hear anything he was saying, just looking at the body, a marking around the neck, so many thoughts ran through her head, she looked down, then turned around to look at her house, Cascada was crying, Manantial ignored the person talking to her, she walked over to Cascada and hugged him, held his head and closed her eyes, neither could hold back their tears.*

*A Vaporeon opens her eyes, she's lying on her bed, she looks at the clock on the bedside table*. Manantial: "Oh, perfect! This is around the time he gets back. Right, everything should be ready." *The Vaporeon walks to the living room, it's highly decorated for a birthday party, an Eevee enters the door and before he can say a word he gets surprised by the decoration and his sister.* Manantial: "Surprise! Happy 15th birthday, Cass! I didn't forget, just using the way you were looking at me today, I knew you thought that your sister forgot, but no, I would never forget! I even went to the other city just to get this special birthday cake that you wanted so much, I've been preparing for this for months. And this is just the start of your birthday, I have prepared a special gift and a lot of surprises, but let's start celebrating!" Cascada: "Oh I knew you wouldn't forget! Everyone in my class was thinking that you did, but I knew you didn't! Thank you so much sis! Today is going to be such a fun day, let's celebrate it together! Here, I even bought a little muffin for you on the way home, I know you really like them and I wanted to get you something too!"

*Two Vaporeons are sitting together on a couch, the bigger one is talking on the phone, she seems very upset*. Manantial: "Then screw you, I don't need this, I'll just find a different one, a better one. I don't get why this went the way it did, it shouldn't have, but it's whatever. Have a good day, afternoon, whatever it is, have a good whatever. Ugh." Cascada: "That doesn't sound like it went very well. Are you alright?" Manantial: "Yeah, it's just hard to get a good job in this town but I'll manage. I'll be alright, don't worry about it. Thankfully, I have some savings, so even if it takes me some time to get a new job, we should be all fine." Cascada: "Oh! Also, do you remember that, teacher was it, that you mentioned? He left a letter for you today, I was here when it was delivered, I haven't read it and I'll let you read it alone if it's something private, but I thought I would let you know, here, here you go!"

*A Stoutland and a Lycanroc have been talking for a while, the conversation ends and Stoutland walks over to a Vaporeon*. Manantial: "So, what did he say, Mr. Vali?" Mr. Vali: "Well, I am happy to announce that you're officially hired! After these three months, he says that you, you're good at what you do, the train should be in good hands with you. So, how does that make you feel, Mana?" Manantial: "It's, it's amazing, this is gonna make such a massive change in my life, for the better of course. I didn't think that I would be working with Rocher all these years later, or that he was your son." Mr. Vali: "Well, life is full of surprises. And how is little Cass doing? I haven't heard from him." Manantial: "Oh, he's doing just great and not that long ago, he actually won a competition! I'm very proud of him, I have been telling him about this new job and he's gonna be so happy when he finds out that I got it!" Mr. Vali: "Well, Mana, congratulations. With that said, if you struggle with anything, make sure to ask my son. He used to handle that train like it was his own arm."

*A Vaporeon, dressed in a very unique manner, checks a metal plate inside the cab of a train. She smiles, the metal plate has a date and a name*. Manantial: "I will never forget you, Mr. Vali. Even after all these years, you're still always in my mind, happy anniversary. Ahem, is everyone ready? We're heading to the next station, as a reminder, this and the next one are the last stops for the day." *The Vaporeon's phone rings, she picks it up.* Cascada: "I GOT IT! Mana I got the job!!" Manantial: "I'm so proud, Cass! Congratulations! I wish I was there to see your face. Aw, this is such a special moment for me, when I get home, we're going to celebrate this! So, how does it feel? Your first job, right after you graduated too, you're lucky. Are you ready to dive into the adult life, into knowing and feeling what a job is like? Boo, doesn't that scare you?" Cascada: "Real funny, sis. Don't worry, I'm ready for anything. Well, you're never really ready, that's what you taught me but I'm as ready as I can be, and I think that's enough. And of course, we can celebrate, I'm already preparing dinner for when you arrive! I have to hop on another call, new boss is calling already, love you sis!" Manantial: "Love you too, Cass! See you soon!"

*The Present*. We see the happy life of a Vaporeon named Manatial, she works as a train driver for a company that belongs to Rocher Vali, the son of Mr. Vali who sadly passed away more than a year ago. On the other side of town, we see the hectic yet fun life of a Vaporeon named Cascada, he works as a scientist in a lab trying to learn more about the unique abilities of Pokémon. Every weekend, Mana and Cass find time from their jobs to hang out together and do what they call the "Siblings Saturdays", this time around, they are going to watch a movie, the third entry of a long running franchise, Mana grew up watching the original show, Cass grew up with the reboot, this third entry shows a crossover between both shows.
